The 12 Missions of Christmas | Mission 6: Christmas Film Festival

Hi Hi Hi!

We’re halfway through our Christmas Missions!

I think we all need a fun break right now, so today your mission is all about relaxing and watching Christmas Movies!

We haven’t had the opportunity to sit down and watch any new Christmas Movies this year, so we’ve been looking forward to this mission! We also can’t wait for your recommendations!

Here are a few of our favorite Christmas Movies to watch with the little ones:

1) Klaus

This Netflix animation is so beautifully made and well thought out it brings a tear to our eyes just remembering it. The story is full of little details and “explanations” to how the Santa Claus myth started, and it is equal parts hilarious and emotional!

2) Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch

I’m not crying, you’re crying. Seriously, watched this movie for 2 Decembers now, cried both times. The movie is colorful and super decorated, like Christmas, but also has a deeper meaning and family feeling, like Christmas.

3) Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas

Maybe it’s just us, but this movie fills our hearts with Christmas Nostalgia. If you have a Disney Princess or Prince at home, they will love the Classic Disney touch to the season!

4) The Nightmare Before Christmas

My experience with kids and this movie is complete bafflement followed by repeated viewing throughout the year. Seriously, this is a curiously compelling Christmas movie for the little Anti-Disney Princess or Prince you may have at home!

5) Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone

I mean, there’s just something about a castle in Scotland filled with magic that just screams Christmas to us. Not to mention the actual Christmas scenes that, although filling around 1-2% of the movie total time, are the definition of cozy and delicious Christmas. Usually, we marathon the whole series during this time of year, but if you want to introduce your little one to Hogwarts on Christmas on a time budget, just watch the first movie!

If you’re going to sit down to watch only one Christmas movie with the little ones this December, any of the movies above will definitely put you in the super nice list.
